Field Day

We had a great day at our FW Field Day! The highlights were the beach ball game, the dash, the plunger game, and most definitely the tug-o-war! It was a great day to play with our classmates before we head off to summer vacation an third grade. Thanks to all the wonderful parent volunteers!

Harvard Museum of Natural History

We had a fabulous day at the museum today. A big thank you to our chaperones for helping us have such a wonderful trip. Some of the favorites of the day were the glass flowers, the poop fossil, the giant "whale" skeleton, and the beetles and butterflies. I was so proud of the behavior today. I think we might be ready for third grade:)

Paleontologist Visit

Mr. Dewar (Ellie's dad) came to Francis Wyman today to teach second graders all about fossils. He is a real paleontologist from Suffolk University. We learned what a fossil is, the best places to find fossils, and how to learn about the past from what you find in fossils. He had some great pictures and artifacts.
This was a very special lesson just for us and we are so thankful! Now we are ready for our field trip and fossil experience at the Harvard Museum of Natural History.
